Katy is an experienced focus group and interview moderator with a natural talent for making people feel at ease and drawing out their thoughts and opinions. Katy runs various types of research for organizations across a range of industries including healthcare, education, travel, consumer products and not-for-profit. Recent examples include diabetes product design development research for a major medical device manufacturer, physician creative concept testing for a complex pharmaceutical treatment, website usability testing for an online education platform, and a multi-phase series of focus groups for a country-wide program to improve transportation options for seniors and people with disabilities.
Katy has a strong healthcare background. She spent 14 years in pharmaceutical sales and management at GlaxoSmithKline where she was a top performer, winning multiple awards. Over her career, she has worked in numerous categories and was essential in obtaining access to more than $100 million of GSK products for state Medicaid patients within five states.
A Pittsburgh native, she now lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband and two children. In her spare time, Katy enjoys spending time with family and friends.
